Undersigned, responsible as Senior Advisor to President - IDEM Co. ( Joint Venture Co. of Daimler Benz and Iran Khodro Diesel) is composing a big project which is the substitution of BENZ 457 and 355 diesel engine parts with more economic but best quality parts of other well-established suppliers. In case you are interested to cooperate with us for re-sourcing of the forge parts for 457 and 355 series BENZ engines which are mainly Crankshaft, Camshaft and con.rods please announce us your willingness immediately so that we both proceed for further close cooperation accordingly. The annual production of 355 and 457 engines in IDEM is 6000 and 2500 respectively. It will take some time for me to provide you drawings... and I would like to receive a tangible reply from you first. Possibly it can be a rough price for instance. IDEM is not very open for investment on the tooling indeed and relatively low annual requirement can cause a heavy overhead charges for depreciation of the tooling charges on the part price. If you accept 180 days or 360 days usance L/Cs, it can be a very good advantage.
Kindly note that 457 forge parts should be approved by Daimler Benz AG in advance.

It is my great honor to welcome you and your colleagues to attend China International Forgemasters Meeting (CIFM2010), 24th to 27th May 2010, in Chengdu, the Capital city of Sichuan province in southwest of China.
Successful Forging of 1100MW Half-speed Generator Rotor
On May 18th, 2009, the first 1100MW half-speed generator rotor on nuclear power has been manufactured by 160MN hydraulic press in China national Erzhong Group Company, which has the diameter of 2050mm and the length of 16400mm. Its blank has the weight of 310 tons. The roll was forged by oversize steel ingot with 560t. It fills up the blank of half-speed generator rotor in nuclear power manufacture. This marks China Erzhong has made a breakthrough in nuclear products manufacture.
The Situation of Production of 15000 Tons Open-die Forging Press
At the beginning of 2009, the 15000 tons open-die forging press of Chine First Heavy Industry (CFHI) has turned out 135,000 tons forgings in two years after launching production.
According to China First Heavy Industry, it has forged successfully ingots of 281 tons, 320 tons and 360 tons, the world first 1000MW nuclear power evaporator conical shells with 5.75m diameter, super large forgings such as press vessel nozzle etc.
Invitation of Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry
In the past six years, the Chinese forgemasters have a rapid development. Up to now, China has 8 units of hydraulic open-die forging presses over 100MN. Based on our information, more heavy duty hydraulic press (over 100MN open-die press, and over 300MN closed-die press) has been planned to be installed in the future. In 2009, the Chinese forgemasters have cast successfully 580 ton steel ingot and some difficult heavy forgings such as ship crankshafts, rotor forgings for 1000MW ultra-supercritical steam turbine generator.
We, Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry, will show you the latest development of Chinese open-die industry. This is an opportunity not to be missed.I hope you will have a knowlegeable trip in China.
